Cheers to Mom: A Mocktail for Mother's Day

Peaches are here! They're soooo good in so many ways - peach pie, peaches and cream, in some oatmeal, in a smoothie...but I wanted to try something a little out of my comfort zone this season. Here's a delicious mocktail that can have a little bite. A tasty treat for Mother's Day brunch, your tummy will be happy even if you eat enough for two. ;)

Ingredients – Serves 2

  • 1 peach, sliced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh & finely chopped ginger (from the jar is okay, too)

  • 2 drops Young Living's Ginger Vitality essential oil

  • 8-10 mint leaves

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 3 drops Young Living Lime Vitality essential oil

  • 10-12 ice cubes

  • 1 ginger beer or ginger ale (depending on how spicy you want it to be), chilled

Directions

  1. Using a muddler or a spoon, crush the peaches and mint to release the mint oils and juice from the peach.

  2. Add the essential oils and stir.

  3. Divide puree into two glasses and fill the rest with ice cubes.

  4. Pour your chilled ginger beer / ginger ale over the ice until topped off.

  5. Add a mint sprig to the top and a lime wheel to the rim for a festive look.
