Fall in Love with this Passion-tini Recipe: The Perfect Mocktail for Valentine's Day

Updated: Jan 16

Mocktails are an easy way to serve a pretty bev this Valentine's Day, without all the empty calories and hangovers that come with traditional cocktails. The antioxidants from the fruit in many mocktails also promote healthy skin - a plus for any day date or night on the town. Additionally, there's no chance of binge eating or making other less-than-romantic life choices because you've had one too many to drink. It's all a win-win with a mocktail!

With Lime and Tangerine Vitality essential oils, your Passion-tini also optimizes your body's natural detox process and digestion, smooths the appearance of skin from the inside out, promotes strong nails and glowing skin, supports your weight management goals, and helps calm occasional anxious feelings or irritability. (I mean...if that's not reason enough to sip this, I don't know what is.)

We love the color of this mocktini and it's perfect for every situation - from getting together with the girls to enjoying date night at home...even if the kids are included.

PASSION-TINI

Serves 4-6

Prepare in Advance: 1 pint fresh strawberries, rinsed, hulled, 8-12 of them cocktail-skewered, & all frozen overnight.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups passion fruit juice (Ceres is a recommended brand)

  • 4 cups lemonade

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • 3 cups pineapple juice

  • 3 drops Lime Vitality essential oil

  • 5 drops Tangerine Vitality essential oil

  • Mint sprigs and / or lemon slices for garnish

Directions In a large glass pitcher or bowl, combine all ingredients aside from the essential oils and lemonade. Cover and let chill for at least 2 hours (don't put in any ice at this point unless you want your drinks watered down). Remove from refrigerator, combine oils and lemonade, and add into pitcher. Serve in a martini glass with a cocktail skewer of strawberries plus a couple extra right in the glass, along with other desired garnishes.

Ingesting Essential Oils

When it comes to ingesting essential oils, it's super important to know where your oils come from, how they're made, and exactly what is in the bottle you purchase. Do your research and do not EVER ingest oils unless you can get all your questions answered to your satisfaction by the company you choose. Read more about ingesting essential oils safely and get some ideas of what to ask a company to ensure what you're getting is the best there is.

After a lot of personal research (which hasn't stopped, by the way) the only brand I feel comfortable using for dietary and supplement use is Young Living, and they even have a full line of essential oils labeled specifically for ingesting. I am happy to share some of what I've learned with you when you're ready. In the meantime, grab one of my free guides...
