It's becoming increasingly difficult to quiet the things of the world that surround us and keep spiritual peace in our minds and hearts throughout the day.
That's why I like to use simple coping mechanisms and self-care tasks that help me refill my cup and I am happy to share them with you, too. Take what you find useful. Maybe try things you haven't tried before. Don't use what doesn't resonate with you. And if you have something that you've found helps you relax, with your mindset, or helps you push through when something feels tough, please share your tips below.
Throughout my day, I like to employ prayer and scripture study, affirmations, and aromatherapy, then I add in other things like acupressure, massage, gardening and grounding, and other easy self-care activities. These are mostly at-home rather than outside expenses, so it's not only kind to me, it's kind to my pocketbook, too.
Each month, I'll be sharing a scripture passage or spiritual quote we can work together on focusing on every day through the whole month. If you'd like to memorize these, you'll always have a simple mental tool to use to refocus on faith at any time, anywhere.
Here's how I recommend getting this in every day...read this three times out loud, whenever possible, or in your mind if you absolutely cannot say it aloud:
Before getting out of bed.
As you are getting ready.
As you eat your breakfast.
Every hour (or as often as possible / needed) throughout your day.
When you get into bed.
Here's our focus on faith for the month of June...
Romans 5:1-5 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
This passage helps me focus on peace (the kind of peace that only our Heavenly Father can bring through our Savior). I also love it for these other themes:
Grace through Christ for when I need it (there's no expectation for me to be perfect, just to keep trying a little bit harder to be a little bit better every day).
Rejoicing in the glory of God. (Which is helpful when you're feeling down from life's struggles.)
Understanding that hard experiences help me work on patience and continued turning to the Lord for help.
Remembering that "tribulations" can be viewed as growing experiences, which causes my hope to grow, too.
What about this passage stands out to you? Please share the positive experiences you have with focusing on this passage throughout the month by commenting below.

Focus on Faith for June 2023
On the first of each month at 7:00am PST, we will share a new Scripture Passage or Spiritual Quote. I encourage you to print, write out, or save the graphics we've created for the one we will focus on for the entire month, starting that day. Place them all over your home, office, or anywhere that will make a helpful reminder.
